I will sell once we reach parity... I think the euro will implode politically at some point...

1992 Gordon Brown himself said: "A weak currency arises from a weak economy which in turn is the result of a weak Government."

could be a while, its turned at resistance .. !! (yearly high) -
If it breaks through, resistance will become support and then you could trade it back upwards -

if it does get to £1 = 1euro it might just keep going until £1 only gets you 0.92 cent.

Don't worry about it. In the seventies the pound was about 165 pesetas but I remember, when we were on holiday in the UK one summer, it went down to about 120. I took all our holiday travellers cheques to the nearest bank and changed the lot.

Then again, in 1992, when Soros was shorting it, I managed to get into Dm's before the pound had to leave the currency snake.

That is one of my selfish reasons for not wanting the pound in Europe!

Was that your very first forex trade Split? :D

Both were cash currency trades, unfortunately. I have, actually, been in dollars and euros since the summer, but only recently have I dipped into Forex.

More fool me!

Was it my first experience of currency trading? Here's another experience.

When the Socialists devalued the pound in 1949---far back enough for you :D---- I was on a Canadian ship earning their rates of pay. The pound went from 4 to the $ to , I think it was 2.40. Unfortunately, I was only a kid then and did not earn a great deal. Even I was young, once!
