Movin and Shakin

Morning all, feeling great today, very focussed and alive.

Morning session has been so so, +30, -20, +10 and a breakeven trade to end the session +20 pips.

Reviewed a lot of preMover data last night and have decided that the pre news trading approach doesnt have as much merit as I originally thought, so dropping that from my arsenal, will be sticking with the dayTrader method from here on in, which is my bread and butter trading approach...why complicate the issue.

A fair bit of news around today, so some action is expected.

Nice Move

A nice move off the 0930 continued into the 1030 news for two trades of +30, +30.

Overall, +80 for the day so far and still news at 1330 and 1900 of interest.

Muted Trade

A muted move off the 1330 US news which led to a -20, -5 for me, +55 for the day so far, only the 1900 US news left for me.

Last Night

Trades off the 1900 announcement last night came in at -30, +30, -10 for a daily tally of +45 pips.

Morning session this morning, 2 trades for -20 then +30 for a running daily of +10.

Ouch

Well, I'll know in future to steer clear of periods where there are so many news announcments in a short period of time, took a -40 pip hit overall during the 1330, 1400 and 1415 announcements.

Some news at 1700, not sure if it'll be worth anything, currently sitting on a -10 for the day, 1700 may provide a route to a breakeven day. As Mr Gekko says, 'nothing ruins my day more than losses sport'.

A sore day all round and my worst on record, ending the day at -50 pips.

Another Week

Hello all, hope you had a good weekend.

Another week, a very quiet one on the news front this week, so not much action expected.

Morning session is breakeven for me so far, -10, 0, 0, +10.

Calling it a day there, not much to work with and no point sitting around trying to eke out some profit - too much like hard work.

A Quiet Week

Well, a more interesting morning, but nonetheless the end of a quiet week. 5 trades through the morning session and 0930 news for -10, -10, 10, -40, 30.

So, all in all for the week we've made nought and lost nought, which cannae be bad.

Finished the day yesterday at +120 after another +30 off the 1500 news, a great day and its nice to be back hitting the bigger numbers after a slow 5-6 days.

Strong morning session this morning so far for two trades of +30, +30.
