How come IG Index have quoted the DOW at 11178.7/11184.7 updated at 23:00 when their chart says 11212.7 and it closed at 18:15? CS is quoting 11207/11209, does this mean CS will gap down when it opens or was it just a random quote from IG? Is there someway to take advantage of this? 30 points is a big difference.

Yes it is confusing. Could it equally mean IG will gap up? Or will they both not gap up to get back within a point or two of the index? Then again, as both agree in quoting quite a bit lower than the underlying index, does it not suggest both firms see the Dow falling when NY re-opens?

Of course, you can put an order in this pm but that doesn't mean it will be respected when the book opens tonight.

I'll stay out and see what happens, don't want to risk losing money by doing something stupid. I wonder how often it happens though?
