Dow dividend adjustments?

Afternoon All..

Are dividend adjustments made when spreadbetting the DOW in the same way they are when spreadbetting the FTSE? For instance, with a FTSE 100 index bet you receive a proportion of the dividend when long and pay all of the dividend if short, the spreadbet adjustment is made on Wednesday each week.

Should work exactly the same, except that divis on the Dow can be paid any day.

I emailed CS for an answer who confirmed dividend adjustments aren't made on DOW spreadbets:

'We do not calculate the dividend adjustments for the Wall Street Rolling Daily, as we do for the FTSE, because the dividends on the Wall Street are taken out at different times and it would not be possible for us to collate that into one weekly dividend payment.'

This suits me as I'm generally short so would end up paying CS.
