I have noticed several times that the dow tends to move strongly in either direction around 7:30-7:40 pm . I readd somewhere this is related to the bond market closing around that time. Is this true? Does the dow tend to rise if bonds fall and vice versa? Is there anywhere to find out the bond prices are likely to close at?

DOW REVERSAL
Don't know about your 7.30-7.40 GMT reversal...there are times during the day when the Dow will make large moves, the most notorious is around 2.50-3.10 GMT, when theres normally a big reversal - this and several other times were discussed in last month's "traders" magazine if you got it, although it wasnt strictly for the Dow - if not I can scan it in and send it to you if you PM me your email. However, the best info I've come across lately for the Dow is on www.signalwatch.com/markets/markets-dow.asp - read the daily updates by Ed Downs.
