no, I once managed people and decided the less I had to do with them (other than the ones I choose to), the better.

Get to the pub and football for social interaction. Spend time with loved ones.

Use working hours to trade alone, with the added bonus of loads on online porn viewing, between trades of course:whistling.

Being your own boss, no suppliers or customers, no corporate BS. Life's good.

Depends as a software developer i worked at quite a few places, some places expected you to work 9 hours a day with a quick lunch. Serious boring work. And everyone was too busy to go down the pub except maybe once a month.

Some places there wasnt much work to do and we could dos around.
I once had a nice 2 year contract in london where there was no work to do:
I would get in the office at 11:30. The team would go for a pub lunch at 12:30 every day. Be back at 2pm. Sometimes we would goto the pub again at 3:30 till 4pm. Then off to the pub again afterwork. And the few hours i was in the office i was watching the market and developing my automated systems. Best job i ever had. Nice pay too.

How can you not miss that?

Nice work if you can get it. But I think I would rather have owned the pub that you lot used.

Like many I have been doing this for some time now.
At first I got no social reaction with others a part from direct family.
Then I joined a liesure club paid £40 a month so I had to go to get value.
This resulted in better fitness levels, interaction with others and got me out of the house.
Currently I dont like to do much in the summer months and do more trading during the winter months.
Trade 2-4 days max a week this way I get good family time and a social life and get to go out for lunch often before the afternoons action.
