still tied up in endless meetings today ..I may try to get in the saddle and trade a little more later....but doubtful ....a few pips earlier so not complaining !

hey all

well the Dow is still ranging on the left 1hr chart......I am more interested in currency trades whenever the Dow meets those band levels of support / Resistance

on the 15m it has been a good night for dow rallying back ..so yen and USD were sells

of course they were...remember our rules

Awe man.........

we were all pretty confident that the UK was going to announce good GDP figures today ....and the only question was had the market priced every penny into the news....

obviously not ......

easy meat money off of a falling USD and Yen

GUYS and GALS ..........it really doesnt get much easier than this morning ...........

my thoughts are that the BoJ are scuppering the yen to rise (as it should be) .....and tghey bought USD to do it ...hence USD is above Zero .....

Watch the Yen - big talks going on in next few days over there .....

ive tightened my E/U sell to ensure profitability ....lets see what the Dow opening brings

ok here comes the bounce test !

I must say even i'm please with myself today ......

thats the starting post above....I was hunting a bounce to get me in EARLY on possibly Yen & USD buys off a hopefully falling Dow that was going to bounce off the Continued Resistance level shown on the futures charts (around 13,150)

all times are GMT -1

I decided on the euro ....why ?.....because it was already below the Zero on the 1hr and 15m TF.....so it was ripe for more weakness

50 pips later and still running as the trade has got better and better ......riding the Dow opening as well ....risky but it worked

it became a full blooded signal only a few bars later anyway on the 15m TF but I was already in the game and pips up

ok good luck to you all for rest of the session ....I hope yuo followed me in and made pips .....

FYI......since it was such a nice Trade I stepped my exit strategy back up to the 1 hr Chart so my E/U sell is still running ..and will continue to until I see any of these on the 1hr 20ma

1) A break above the 20ma on the Dow
2) The Euro gets above the Zero
3) the USD gets below the Zero

1) big week and dow has been hit real bad ...all week

2) Traders will be covering the shorts real crazy today .....they want to relax into the weekend

3) The Weekly chart (left) shows a BIG support level around 13,000

......and please please take note of any Economic News today .....

I smell a bounce today and therefore prime for selling Usd and Yen .....and the BoJ wont be upset about that !

Buywise......hmmmm

watch and see who comes up on the lower TF's above the Zeros on the 20ma FXcorrelators .....

GBP has had strong week already....still would be solid though
Euro is primed to bounce and the natural unwind trade for Forex traders today
AUD could be the buy if Dow rallies into the late US session

Hey all....

hmmm........well the Dow has certainly not breached the 13,000 (I hoped it wouldnt).....but sadly the bounces north have not yielded us any decent trades by selling Yen and USD ....SO FAR (?)

in fact the best move was the Dow attacking the 13,000 line again and Euro dumping .....

keep the faith ...lets see if the Dows opening yields more of an uptick :smart:

I repeat again ...I would be surprised to see Dow falling below 13,000 significantly in the Weeks last Session....if it does initially hold fire because there will be a bounce !

naturally if you want to chase it south do so ....your money your choice !
