Ever since I have been using Firefox I have over 60 tracking cookies when I run AVG (Free) anti spyware. Why is this. I never got so much using Internet Explorer.
I run spyware everyday or so but they keep coming up.
Examples......
reverci
2o7
Serving-sys
Mediaplex
Adrevolver
Euroclick
Fastclick
Zedo
247realmedia
Yieldmanager
and many more......
My other half uses the same PC for shoping and stuff. She uses BTYahoo rubbish IE.

Am I doing something different or wrong. I also have Windows defender, AVG Virus, Zonealarm.

Any suggestion, Thanks

Karl

I use Firefox and have not had any of the issues you seem to be having and in many ways it is much more secure than IE. Look at your settings in Firefox and adjust as necessary.

Thanks for that quick reply.
I have unticked the box "Allow cookies from sites"
Hopefully that was the problem, which sounds like it.

Thanks Again

Or run the very quick CCleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/ which allows you to keep the cookies you want, lose the ones you don't, and dispose of loads other rubbish at the same time.

Well I changed some settings and after another spyware scan no spyware or adware at all.

Thanks
