15:40 - taking a closer look at using a volatility ratio filter each day to see if it can usefully detect ranging days, like today for example. It would have been a No Trade day today, so i'm going to log the filter each day for the month and see how the results compare.

FX - Pivot notes 1st Aug

Studied H&LC Dojis on the 15min around S&R levels. Nice example from 7am this morning on cable, which co-incided with the Asian low. A high probability long trade with good R:R. Today's pivot and Asian high offering useful areas to scale out. R1 & R2 might be tested later in the session once the US reports are released.

No 1hr set-ups on the cable so far today, so I've only got my Dow trade on. Glad you like the cable theory - it's nice and simple. I don't like over-complicated systems.

Hi Jilly, thanks for the welcome back. My youngest son broke his right femur (fell off a swing!), so we spent most of the week in Derriford Hospital, Plymouth. He's fine though and that's all that matters.
