cheap real time data for US stocks and charting software?

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping to get set up with a free or cheap charting service and cheap real time quotes for US stock indicies and US stocks- I won't need any other data. I'm based in the UK if that makes any difference.

I was wondering if any of you could let me know what the best sites are please?
