CFD miminum trade size?

Hi I am looking for some feedback.

I am considering trading CFD's so I can go short.
I also wish to start off small only trading a few CFD's shares.
the question is do any of you know of any brokers that will cheaply allow you to purchase a few CFD's say 3/4 per stock?

I have emailed Interactive Brokers to see what there miminum trade size is for CFD's

Sadly City Index allow you to trade 1 CFD but they have a miminum comission of £25. Which makes it unprofitible.

Any ideas I would be grateful for?

Hi, With City Index you are only speculating using CFD , so you don't purchase them physically. You'll be paying broker commission like you say but also CGT on any profits made (well here in UK we do) Are you only wanting a small number of CFD because of a high individual share price? ..eg. Apple.

Would it not be easier to short them using spread bet?
