Boiler Room Scams

I to have bought shares in this company. I have received a share certificate. When I could not contact IMS I took my certificate to a stockbrooker. He said that the certificate and shares are valid, however im tied in for a year.

I guess theses shares are going to lose loads of value before we can sell them and this will be the way we lose out.

hello and thank you for this infomation. Please can you tel me who is IMS ?? I have shares with ATS specialists. Do you have shares with them?? I do have share certificates too. I have had these shares since 2005. Any informaion possitive or negative about ATS would be most welcome. Scorpio11::(

BA Boiler Room

I am very curious to read the article you mentioned regarding someone from a Buenos Aires boiler room. Is it still available?

Interesting piece in the Times2 today written by somebody who worked undercover in a
Buenos Aires boiler room

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
The fear of missing out is one of the most destructive of all human emotions

WARNING - WARNING - WARNING

watch out for these scammers because they're starting to cold call people -

Crest Asset Management - Crest Asset Management

And they're being 'supported' by International Equities Administrators - OpenDNS

Both of these websites were registered in the last few months which is a dead give away.

They're calling up previous clients who've been stuffed up with Regulation S shares and are offering a 'way out'. But the 'way out' will be an advance fee scam, ie they'll promise a lot of profit on your current shares BUT you'll have to pay money to release them or buy other shares. Do that and your money will again be stolen from you.

IMPORTANT - If you want a good guideline that the 'company' you're dealing with is a scam operation go here - Whois lookup and Domain name search and type in the domain name, see when it was first registered and if within the last year or so be VERY SUSPECT.

And if any scammers are reading this - Do you think your Parents are proud that they've produced and raised thieving scum? And SCUM is exactly what you are, bringing misery to so many lives...........

Hi,
I am investigating ATS using a Florida agency. Oxbridge has now moved to Antigua and I was annoyed that I was not informed. However in response to my emails I have been elected a new "advisor" who is checking out ATS Specialists UK. My original advisor had been telling me rubbish "best deal since during my 30 years with Oxbridge" and not informing me about the peculiarities regarding the certificates. And he (Paul Adams) has left the company but my new guy (Ryan Coleman) seems to have his feet on the ground. Both companies are very young. I think Oxbridge is 7 years and ATS 2 - 3 years. I also understand ATS is no longer a Corporate company.
Generally I do not think this is a boiler scam since Oxbridge could have cut and run months ago, more like high risk.
Assuming you are UK based please give me a call on 020 8366 7168, I do have another acquaintainance telephoning me, and this has been very useful.
Regards,
ken
Dear Ken :) I was wondering how did your investigation go regarding ATS Specialists. I didn't realise they were in the UK as well. Do you know they address? We have also bought ATS shares via Oxbridge International way back in 2006 or was it 2005 well it just seems so long ago. Andrew Richardson was the Svengali that talked my husband into this. 40k poorer now and still waiting for things to materialise. Please please can you kindly tell me how it went, good or bad I would rather know then keep wondering and worrying if we were taken for a ride. Thank you Ken..... Scorpio11:(

Oxbridge International is unauthodox, unregistered and unclear as to why they are taking your money and more to the point, where it is going.

Warning from FSA:

Also see warning paper of said company from an article posted in thisismoney.co.uk:
Offshore deal that's sure to sink | This is Money

Also see, fools.co.uk:
TMF: Boiler rooms / A fool And His Money...

Also check out scam.com:
Oxbridge International

See a government website warning of Oxbridge International:
Warnings for businesses and investors

Hopefully this is enough to put it to bed. The share certificates make for good napkins.

If in doubt, go without.

There are many other ways to invest that carries obvious risk but scamming should never be one of them.

As Lee S says, if in doubt.

In fact the rule of thumb on this thread is that if you have to ask about a firm then 99% scam.

I quoted on the post that this above is a response to before from Kenmajor about oxbridge, a paul adams was mentioned. Now I have come accross that name before somewhere, graves stanly and peabody i beleive, long gone of course with a large chunk of my money, last known in amsteram and then asia i beleive. I have been around a while, and lost a fair bit, but before the days of sites like this. Now I know better. What I cannot understand is why people will ask questions on this site (not pointing any fingers guys) AND THEN NOT LISTEN TO THE ADVICE!!!! You are here becuse you are suspicious, you have googled because you are not sure, this site has come up because people have learnt the hard way and paid the price. For the love of god, people do not call you out of the blue with deals that will really make you money!

Who? there are millions of entries around the globe on bridge hall.

Either be more specific or as I would always suggest:

If in doubt, go without. (always the best thing to do)

Ask yourself why you doubt this firm then think to yourself, what if the person/s on here that say they are good to go is actually part of them?

If in doubt, go without.

Find someone else or another firm or whoever they are.
