Boiler Room Scams

I have been trying for some time to get addresses and names of boiler room scum, I believe I have been duped by a band operating from spain and I want to hunt these fraudsters down. Police have not been helpful at all. Can any of you guys supply me with information, I am at my tethers end and going bankrupt soon so I cant get on with it as they say...It really doesn't matter if they are not the same boiler room ie Berkeley capital finance that stole my money..to me they are all guilty. I will do something positive and get my money back...Having information is only good if you can share it.If anyone has any info please pm me...regards JBonde

It all depends on who you are sharing it with, I suggest you e mail all relevant details in a pm and we can take it from there. Then perhaps you will find out how boiler rooms will be decimated in 2013. friday76

Yes pboyles,
I also have the Carbon Credits, but I didn't want to hog the Forum with a long list.
The following is my usual tactic.
The mobile phone rings and it displays a U.K. international code possibly a London number, " Not again " I say ,.... but it could also be a business call, I answer and hear what I describe as a educated accent but also sounds like the caller has a pebble in their mouth to help speak with that ( to my ear ) The Queen's English.
Following a short introduction in which the caller seems to know me already, I am offered the latest financial deal as their friend. I am never too interested and never not interested, I question the gold / diamonds / carbon credits / rice growing / latest advice and always get the caller to e mail me.
I save their name and company and number in my phone. I make arrangements to talk again but never answer on this number and I keep saving all the new phone numbers over the weeks as I am called back. I mislay e mails , get them sent again, agree to answer at a convenient time but skip it, ask for a hard copy of their brochure, which they must arrange to get posted from UK and not Thailand or Spain where the caller is.
All the time I am shy but curious.
One of the ' nicest ' scammers to call me was a ' lady ' called Cheradine. of WEST PIER Consultants.
Very Chatty. Despite receiving a lot of newsletters from West Pier , I could never get their " London " address. Cheradine and I often discussed the weather and compared the weather in London with the weather in Ireland.
Anyway, Cheradine made the mistake one day of not routing the call through London , but rang me instead directly from Kazakhstan ... think Eurovision 2112 in the former USSR. She did her best to convince me over the next 2 weeks that the access 00 7 (3361 ) 62-1 was the new exchange in London. I took the advantage over the two weeks to learn a few words of Russian from old James Bond movies to make her feel at home when she rang me. I miss her calls. She has stopped phoning me.
In their last newsletter West Pier Consultants had got into film making -- yes --movies.
Katherine of Alexandria due to be released in 2013 with really good actors & actresses.

With a block buster like this I could be receiving royalties for 25 years.

Yeah, or a swede .....

Yes, there seems to be a trend of informing people that they are not regulated by the FSA and if you lose money (or take it all) with us, its your own fault. In the food industry they would never get away with selling a loaf of bread contaminated with botulin toxin and you're not going to get your money back. Obviously regulation within the finance sector is akin to non-existent. For the mandarins reading this I suggest you start making the right noises, or will this compromise your pension?

Any person who deals with these websites must be stupid, mad or both.

As we are talking about fraudulent websites (without them the fraudsters are dead in the water) are people aware of the following? This is only a small sample, but if it replicated for the whole, it indicates the state of play towards the end of 2012.
By studying the comings and goings over the last 3 years or so, I have come to a ball park conclusion that out of every 100 financial investment websites over 90 of them are fraudulent. In other words you are highly likely to be dealing with a boiler room operation, however nice they are over the phone and however fancy their website is. I can supply anyone with the websites that have disappeared over the last 3 years.

Investors should be aware that some financial websites have malicious content attached to them. This could possibly destroy the hard drive on your computer. Examples of malicious content are nabsecuritiesinc, scottfitzgeraldgroup.com, shaw-capital.com,minsheng-corp.com, dailysecurities.com and fisherinvestments.com. There will be many others. With some you get a warning there is malicious content, but not always. The way to find out if there is malicious content or malware is to video the bottom left hand corner of the browser, which records where the browser is being redirected. Play the video back and at approximately 4 frames per second (pause button) record where the site is taking you to. Report malicious content to the webmaster at the server which hosts the website (go to webmaster@...), and if you really want to, tell the police , FSA etc, who seem to be a black hole at the moment.

I would recommend that you have the best Internet Security (not just antivirus) and firewall protection you can buy, a 3 site license only costs about £25, the best thing you will ever do. In my experience attacks are taking place all the time.

It appears that some websites of this nature are acting cooperatively eg belfastcapital,blackwoodgroup.com and bishopsgatecapital.com as evidenced by redirection observed on the bottom browser bar. Does anyone have information on bishopsgatecapital, as they were due for a court appearance in the summer?

All in all, a very sad state of affairs, boiler rooms possibly set to increase in 2013, due to lack of police resource and the inability to monitor the financial lanscape on the internet. False Whois data is rampant.

It is the duty of the people we vote in to protect people, in the same way that the food industry is heavily regulated. I suggest that the coalition grasp this nettle to get rid of the illegal activities which we are seeing before our very eyes. The only hope is that the National Crime Agency (NCA) get their act together and the new Surveillance laws are passed and implemented asap. At the moment police are hamstrung by having to apply for a warrant each time they are searching for a particular piece of information, get real we are no longer in the 1990's.

Westchester Investments claim to be 'authorised' on their website. However they are NOT FSA regulated. This is shaping up nicely for another multi million dollar scandal. All the signs are there, no regulation, hidden website details and last but not least mention of forex robots. All you need is an Australian.

The only thing missing is complaints from investors into Westchester Investments Ltd who have yet to receive a penny from their investments. Until these appear no one will be any the wiser.

Just a quick question.
Has ANYONE ever gotten a call from a reputible investment firm offering "deals"?
I don't think they actually call people unless they are "Accredited Investors" or referred by a client or enquired about services through ad or website.
Just a question I've been wondering about.

Happy Holidays all!

No .........
I have never got a call from a reputible investment company offering " deals".
They are not allow to, neither can they tell me that the return is guaranteed.
I have no faith in the Regulators, or of the governments in any country to commit time , money and people to chase up the thieves.

I had a call yesterday, the silent variety, the intimidatory call where you are not quite sure of who is on the end of it. Enough is enough, so all callers now are recorded and informed of this fact. Recordings are used by marketing companies to conduct 'surveys' so are a legitimate tool, particularly from those phoning from Kual Lumpar, Barcelona or Madrid or wherever they are. It may come in use in a subsequent court hearing.

Due to call forwarding and privacy concerns you cant trace where the caller is from. The only way to take them down is to match up a known illegal website (include the link to the enforcement website) with the server that hosts that website and e mail them pointing out they are supporting illegal activity and would be liable to prosecution in 2013. This approach has been used and is successful. Couple this with the new surveillance powers expected next year and the new enforcement body and we will see boiler rooms decimated in 2013, not increased, as some analysts predict.

Keep on networking to expose these charlatans

Thanks for the complement but I didn't coin that phrase. It's from some old movie I saw.
It's been around a while.
You got another broker after you because you "Kicked". A term for a punter that agreed to buy shares and then decided not to pay. Sometimes the original broker will call back and see why and try to get you in at a lower amount if that fails, a new guy can try to Bully you into paying. Ignore them. It's a rip off!

Anyone being contacted by Daniel Edgar or his side kick Rio Mosley of

Regency Capital. Kemp house, 152-160, City Road, London EC1V 2NX UK T: 0845 519 7634
who specialise in Growing Rice in Sierra Leone. Regency Capital | Welcome

Also the link below is an 8 minute documentary on the rice farm project itself
- Agri Capital - test movies
" Now as promised here is the ‘Invest in Africa’ initiative I wanted to introduce to you - " Home - Invest In Africa

There is so much stuff here some or all could be legit, except the returns .... I think its a Ponzi scheme with the early investors who buy and sell at first profit win, everyone else looses as the land and returns become overvalued. !
Apparently .... any investor who buys 10 acres gets a free visit to see the project, although I was offered the opportunity to tag along pre purchase.

There is only so many times I can talk to either of these guys before I grow weary of wasting both our time ...but I do love letting the mobile ring but not answering. Maybe I will get Rio Mosley to send all the information again as I have "lost" it the last 3 times. He has such patience. he does not as often as he used to.

I Googled the post code ( EC1V 2NX ) and saw it is a mail forwarding virtual office.
Most likely forwarded to Bangkok, Manila, KL, or some ****hole where these guys hide.

Nice one whistler_man with the Google detective work.
NOW
I think I will tell Rio Mosley that I want to buy with cash + I will call to his office in London with the money personally ... I smile as I wonder how he will deal with me. The money to be stolen is so near .. but yet so far away.
Regency Capital has one of the best web sites for a scam. The promoter is a Agricultural Adviser for the company is standing in the rice fields, children are running around,The crop is being harvested. Sierra Leone government officials are giving interviews, The World Food Programme is involved.
I willl keep you informed.

Amarok Resources

Sorry to change the subject.
Anybody heard of Amarok Resources (AMOK), Martin Kaye of Bernstein Whitman & Lloyds, M & A lawyers in NY, or David Wellock of Department of Financial Trading in Washington DC?

Kaye phoned me to tell me that AMOK had been taken over to be split up, & as a shareholder I was entitled to compensation, enforced by government. I never bought this company nor can I find out if any of my "investments" were renamed, merged,or taken over to get me in it. I am offered $6 per share, $120,000 total but there is the cost of derestriction @45c per share, $9,000. Wellock of Depft claims to regulate BWL and administer the fund transfer. Now there is no such thing as a free lunch and I am not proceeding with this, I can't afford another $9000, but I am having difficulty getting a definite answer that it is a scam. I can find no evidence of a government agency except via the web address given gov.depft.us but the address for Wellock & the address on the site differ, 1204 18th Street NW, DC 20036 & 1800 G street NW, DC 20006. There is only 1 phone no & Wellock answers. Surely if they really have 2 addresses there would be more than one agent. There is no phone no on the website. Similarly there is only 1 phone no for BWl, and either it is busy or Kaye answers. Suspicious?
I can find no evidence of BWl at their address in NY,10 East 40th Street, but also I cannot prove they are not there. What makes me suspicious is I came across a delisting of their web address a couple of years ago, and I wonder did someone pick up on this & try to clone the firm?
Strangely both guys are English.
I have had an attempt to scam me before using a bogus government agency as a lever, so this is not a new idea. Also they have been very persistent, one or both call me every day, suppossedly in my interest as there is a time limit and if I don't deal Martin doesn't get paid, (probably true either way) but I doubt if any legit lawyer or Government agent would be so liberal with their time.
I am in UK so have had great difficulty checking out these guys, phone calls to US have in the main been unsatisfactory. I am waiting for replies to several emails to agencies.
If anyone can add any light I would be grateful. As I say I am not proceeding but it would be good to get the full SP on these guys and get it out there.
Anyone in NY or DC who could check out the addresses?
