It seems to me that Mark Thompson has got this spot on.

If the other parties see the BNP as a threat, then surely they need to up their game and convince the voters that they are competent enough to run the country. Where is the problem here ? 😆

Censoring things that people want to talk about simply is not a solution and if you follow this to its logical conclusion...it actually creates the backlash that was trying to be avoided...Pointless it is.

Its a free world.....free speach...if he breaks the law he goes to jail!

If we hide certain facets of the state of our nation from the public then we're actually conning ourselves.

We all know that racism exists....unless the public see it....there is no way of crushing it!

Personally I think that he's in over his depth....but it will be interesting to see how he handles himself on QT!

Although it is widely accepted that the BNP is a racist political movement.....However I'll be listening carefully to what other pro British ideas he has.....after all I am a British born and bread!

Nothing good will come of this action by the BBC to give a voice to what is clearly bad emotions in humanity. In my view for the BBC it is simply popullarity ratings and contreversy which gets the name branded.

It will polarise society.

I've always think that if a foreign national can come to this country and undercut the indegenous popullation and do a better work (ie Polish builders and plumbers) than there is something wrong.

The competition should be afraid of us is my motto.

As for Nick Griffin and his band I would like to know what they will do about all the nurses and doctors and technicians who are predominantly Asian, Auzzi or Kiwi based on my experiences in IT. How about the underclass of cleaners and public transport workers.

Another big fact people aren't aware of is that UK has an ethnic aging popullation. Who will look after the elderly or help pay the pensions?

Moreover, the ethnic popullation doesn't take on the dirty hard pieces of work that the foreigners do. Otherwise they'd be doing it now.

Absolute recipee for disaster and further destruction of the UK.

This is one of those issues like abortion in which the debate ( meaning allow the nazi filth a platform - NOT their revolting views) ) has merit on both sides.
Le Pen's nazis grew out of the oxygen of publicity in the French media in the 80s and the danger is the same will happen here.
My own feeling is that they should not be given the legitimacy of appearing on QT or being constantly interviewed by the media.
If he focuses on attacking the corruption of the three main parties and the social ills of the country then he will get support and that is extremely dangerous.
The QT audience may be packed with their vocal supporters (don't tell me the BBC will have vetted them properly - are you a supporter of the BNP Herr Hitler? - no I'm a socialist - ha ha a National socialist)
What the hell did we fight and die against the nazis for to allow them such a platform?
Hatred deserves no platform or attempts at rationality.

I noticed another weird thing on the BNP website, but that's been changed now. They had the EXACT (I'm not making this up) same policies as the (I think, it was a while ago...) Lib Dems... EXACTLY the same, I wondered what the f*ck was going on when I read, word for word, policies on how youngsters must join the army at age 16. 😕

After Broz Tito passed away and for mer Yugoslavia collapsed, Serbia-the only purely Slovan nation in Balkans, had to defend its borders from other forme rYugoslavian republics. Albanians are originally muslims. It is one of the oldest nations in the continent. They have a majority in several Balkan states - in Macedonia, Grecee, Serbia mainly. There are already ethnical problems in albanian part of Greece. I would rather not to blame Serbia for trying to keep integrity of its borders. Albanians are not an easy nation to live with as their community model lightly speaking does not blend well with typicall european model. In Kososvo there is an purely Serbian region (Kosovska Mitrovica), where Serbians are being dicriminated by albanian administration. Kosovo has been integral part of Serbia for centuries. The separation of Kosovo was a strike aimed to weaken russian influence in the region by USA and germany mainly. Russian promised repercussion - see conflict and separation of 2 regions in Georgia.

Yes, I agree in modern civilization there is no place for tribalism and fear, and imo borders shall be created on the base of ethnicy, unfortunately realistically speaking, we will be facing new conflicts in the balkan area. Few weeks back Albanian president publicly open a debate in regards to albanian integrity in the balkan area, which at the moment entails part of macedonia, greece, montenegro. I suppose you have a solution to it as well?

The fact he is on tv is already meaningful - someone has a huge interest in that.
Secondly the way the program is structured will is eaither on purpose or will backfire if not as even you feel pity and sympathy, what will be the response from people supporting him?
