Anyone scalping the FTSE Futures??

it could do
but wouldnt that be too easy to trade

You're probably right. My thinking is a bit basic. Monday into Tuesday's move up was 300 points. Now we have a wedge of some kind at the top. Could break either way of course, if to the upside, then could be 300 points.

You're a lot smarter than I am, so I will take notice of your views.

If you still have those long positions, then you'll be able to close for a profit, should it break to the upside. :)

ok here's the plan from the early high monday we sell, after first half hour tuesday we buy then sell into the afternoon wednesday we buy from new low 1st hour into late afternoon thursday buy early then sell hard into late afternoon then rest sell hard friday

as always you want yesterdays price.

Just to confirm, that is the Dow? Do you have a price area where you will look to short at?

Appreciate your views and you sharing your knowledge.

sorry yes thats the DOW the FTSE is slightly ahead timewise 5302 to 5391 would be where I would look to buy and sell depending on open price, in the morning. a 5452 late monday down to 5234 tuesday

I like the idea of selling off a Monday high on the Dow, just not sure of a price point. If it heads straight down then I'm thinking this correction isn't complete, with another week to go. I guess it depends on the news.

I use these gets the job done

DC, I get the monday and tuesday bit, but you lost me on the Wednesday and Thursday. Is this the way it should read?

So roughly, a series of long legs down lasting several hours with short upmoves of a few hours. Long down moves of 161% or more extensions. Upmoves of less than 100% retracements. With a lot of noise and silly news events in between.

thats about it
for the FTSE in numbers I expect 42 to 55 point rallies and 105 to 121 falls the large fall 2.1% of index value

FTSE100 closed above a 10-day high on Friday. Longer term trend is downward. Selling on Monday has got a high chance of success.

Hi, and it maybe that you are trying to trade through the algo feed time. There is usually a period of time from approx 10 am to 11.30am when most human beings DONT TRADE. They have a cup of tea and a biscuit and watch porn on the internet. The algos also reduce their size and what is left is some nasty little algo's who's sole purpose in life is to keep price in a range and take your money away from you. So they purposely set up price action to make it look like you should be going long (for instance) they then remove all the bids from the market so it drops several points and spooks you out. Ever noticed how you might take out your order only to see it move back to you???? they are now spooking the guys that went short thinking that fast down move that took you out was a signal to sell. Nasty little f****rs aren't they? my advice is watch for the drop in volume around this time and go have a cup of tea and do whatever else floats your boat.

GCSE's:smart:

Had a talk with Tonto yesterday he said this....

" heap big bears near camp Kemosahbee, keep bulls out of um field especially after sunset "

Make um sense to me (y)

DC to be clear , you are talking about whole points and not the half points we trade in the futures..?
