I may not have opened this thread in the right forum - but I'm not sure where best to place it. Anyway, I wondered if there are any members who are proficient users of eSignal and familiar with EFS studies?
If I outline what I want to achieve, perhaps someone can tell me if it's possible - or not and, if it is, help me to do it (Coz I'm totally pants at this techie stuff ;))
Okay, at the moment I have a large selection of 100+ stocks in my Quote window. I want to set an automatic pop-up alert, to be triggered when price crosses a Bollinger Band. In fact, ideally it would be triggered say 5 cents inside the band. Currently, I do this manually, bringing up each chart individually and setting a fixed alert based on the current readings of the upper and lower BB's respectively. It's a slow and tedious process and, as the BB's are moving (obviously), the alerts need updating throughout the day. Life would be SO much easier if this process could be automated by setting an adaptive global alert to all the stocks in the Quote window. Is this doable - or am I in cloud cuckoo land?
Cheers,
Tim.
P.S. Yes, I've spent hours on the eSignal website and message boards and I'm now more confused than I was when I started.

Hi Tim,

Since it sounds like you've searched our forums and fileshare and haven't found what you're looking for yet, I'd suggest you consider using an EFS consultant to code for you. I'm told it would be a relatively simple and straightforward task for one of our experienced consultants.

Alternatively, if you haven't posted on our eSignal Central Forums about this request, you might want to do that as well since many of our users help each other with EFS requests.

Thanks.
