One more thing, becuase US day traders make prices through ECN's, that anyone the world can execute against.ie i dont have to deal with a market maker just another trader, stocks tend to flow in a more classic way rather than the sometimes jerky movements that occur when only a small number of mm make a price.

I have finally realised why the LSE sucks so bad.
Thanks Naz. Do yow know any american brokers that will allow UK citizens to trade with them? Whenever i try and apply to one it seems I need to be a US citizen.
Rio Tinto.
Yes its been up down up and up. It still has more legs then a spider. Its long term rather then short, but worth a look.

NAZ.....are you trying to say that uk daytraders don't have access to the order book ?
FWIW, I've traded cfd's direct on the order book for the past 5 years in the uk.Its more expensive than trading the US but I daresay, just as profitable.(Point taken about not being able to trade premarket). Why on earth you need to swing trade rather than daytrade uk stocks is beyond me unless that's your regular mode of trading.Either its ignorance or more likely down to not wanting to trade the uk market regularly.
