    Brexit and the Consequences

You don't think Labour's plans to shut down trading on UK's financial markets with a huge financial transaction taxes might have some ill-effects? It would be catastrophic. You think a union dominated government run railway system is a good idea? It has been tried before. It won't work with the...

    FCA concerns on Spreadbetting

https://www.fca.org.uk/news/press-releases/fca-proposes-stricter-rules-contract-difference-products It's disappointing that the FCA think that most people losing is a problem. This is not investing, it's speculation. That's how it works. It's competitive. Only the best can win. You don't see...

How Did This EA Make 17% in a Backtest?

That's just the way the graph is plotted. It only shows the balance and equity at the close of each trade. Since the system never closes trades during equity drawdown ( just keeps opening bigger ones), you just don't see it on the graph.

Best Thread CMC Markets owner answers your questions

Peter, White backgrounds - ugh, no thanks :p Long and short at the same time - No thanks, that had better be optional. How about improving something useful like order entry? Click, wait, type, click - it's so cumbersome. When can we have 1-click? Also, if we want to set the same SL or TP for...

Best Thread CMC Markets owner answers your questions

I like the new spreads. I don't like having to migrate to the new platform which isn't yet ready for serious trading. How long will it be before the new platform is able to store default position sizes? This small addition would make it so much more usable.

Best Thread CMC Markets owner answers your questions

I've been trying the new SB platform. I like it. It's fast and reliable even on my old PC. I have a few requests. 1) Can we have a default position size setting per instrument? This will save a few clicks per trade. 2) When averaged in to a position, I'd like to be able to set an OCO stop/limit...

FAQ Do I Have to Accept some Big Losses in the Beginning?

This is an easy one. The answer is no. Do your research before you trade and start to trade with small amounts. Having properly researched a profitable method and learnt to trade it consistently, you can then increase your trade size. Common sense.

Help to do coding for Range Bar Chart

Yes, you can do a range chart based on the tick data as it comes in. You would have to leave your terminal on for it to populate the chart with a bit of history. If that's good enough for what you want, it's pretty simple to do. rgds

Trading from home - employment status.

Betting duty was abolished in 2001 and replaced with a tax on gross profits paid by the bookmaker. For financial spreadbets, the bookmaker pays 3% of gross profits as tax. That is why spreadbetting is tax free for the punters. 3% of all the spreadbetting losses is a much better deal for the...
