Badly burned unfortunately 60pts for FTSE and 30 pts for DOW short... well thats put a dent in the weekend festivities! Hope you guys do better.

Looking at my screens there are 61 decliners in the FTSE100 but the things driving the market are XTA, the petrol companies and VOD. Be interested to see where the DOW moves. Am short DOW 13680 and FTSE short at 6650 (I know did it last night as DOW tanked!).

Yeah I went and got something to eat... came back and the graph shows a range bound boredom market! Anyone even bothering since 3pm?

I was hoping it would stop at 6567 and reverse, unfortunately looking at my charts its only a hope at this point (I shorted on false signal at 6565).

Long time since posting Steve, best wishes to your daughter. I am currently in the doldrums with my trading as of today, at 8am this morning I was nicely short in the FTSE and then wham the DOW goes flying up. Have lost 20pts and 15 pts on a DOW short and FTSE short and am now sitting short...

Thanks Pat, Steve I am getting a sense of deja vu here... we tank for a few hours then recover to finish positive - almost like there's a record to be broken!

Anyone care to enlighten me as to what happened after 16:45 as was driving, get home and the DOW has halved its losses. Can't see anything on the news feeds.
