Is it possible to trade when the markets are closed, for example on Sunday. I am asking if I ever needed to get in our out of a position before the markets opened in the morning? I read somewhere about ECN.

Is software a necessity for technical analysis? Can you not just the charts etc on the web? What does the software offer extra? Does it help you filter out patterns, e.g. based on MACD or ADX etc and is this why people use it i.e. to help them pick stocks? Cheers
