How do I trade out of hours?

Is it possible to trade when the markets are closed, for example on Sunday.

I am asking if I ever needed to get in our out of a position before the markets opened in the morning?

I read somewhere about ECN.

Nope. Only FX and from about 9pm Sunday depending on which service you use.
