which is more important: luck or wisdom

I was lucky enough to have some wisdom, but not wise enough to recognize the luck I was having.

the more true wisdom you acquire.... I guarantee the luckier you will get ;)

Wisdom is often confused with knowledge. That's why you see very smart people
not always doing well.
Wisdom is the practical application of knowledge.

If you have picked luck, forget trading, go play in a casino...
I think you need the correct mindset to apply knowledge and obtain wisdom...

It's the mindset part most never get correct.

I donot know how old you guys are. In my life, I saw many wise people who did not succeed, while some average or stupid people can be successful. Human is very small, no matter how you work hard, you can not do anything if you have a really bad luck. Of course, a fair share of luck is enough. But just like wealth, 20% of people have 80% of wealth in the world, I donot know luck is shared evenly. Especially for a key project for you, if you have a bad luck in your key step, you really cannot make it.

You make your own luck. You could be a wise man that sat indoors all day reaching the pinnacle of knowledge about anything and everything, yet without engaging in life itself you're not likely to succeed in much.

Id say it's important to have knowledge and wisdom, and engage yourself in things related to what you want to do - if you wanted to be a jazz musician it would be good to practice everyday but also go out to jazz clubs etc and socialise - perhaps see if you could get a shot at performing for them.

That's the real point, you say some people are 'stupid' but successful - maybe they just had the drive to succeed, which you construe as 'luck'

As Earl Wilson famously said "Success is simply a matter of luck. Ask any failure"
