hey bwana, no i don't trade breakouts although some of the set ups I trade will catch the odd breakout. not saying they dont work there are many ways to skin a cat. I am not a big fan of trend lines in general (unless they are horizontal lol) certainly any trend lines below a 1hour chart I completely ignore. pivots, I look at these for secondary confluence, I would never take a trade off a pivot on its own. There are no rights or wrongs in this game though.
and yes if I was going to trade break outs I would use resting orders not market orders. but i dont, had a bad experience with a paid chatroom and breakouts. someone else who turned to the dark side of the force.
