Sniper Forex System

Rolf,
If you would, post the a download for those indicators.
Regards,
Kent

The company MetaQuotes Software (the creator of the Platform) has a community with a codebase. The company always has a look at the things which are published there.

For example at the webpage: codebase.mql4.com/3154 there is an ATRStops indicator created by "igorad" which looks like the older one which I use.

At the webpage codebase.mql4.com/ru/1344 You find a Hull Moving Average with changing colors which looks like that one which I use.

And Parabolic SAR is already installed with the platform

I dont want to upload the work of other peoples here, so please use the codebase which already exists, and modify the indicators by yourself like Trendie if You want.

P.S.: I travel to Graubünden (switzerland) tomorrow for winter holiday, so I already want to say "Merry Christmas" and a "Happy New Year" to all here. Good bye.

Hi Guys,

Been away for a while!

Just noticed that Gary has posted Sniper results for November of +562 pips. Seems a bit high to me not that I have been trading Sniper on the 1H time frame. Can anyone back-up this claim?

I would expect this total to vary a little from trader to trader. Wonder what Greenfield has to say about the totals?

Hello schweepus, forexkunta/Kent et al,
I make it 405 pts during November, 26 trades = 12 gains, 14 loses. That works out at just over 19 pts a day.

The optimum level for a TP trade was 115 which would make 35 pts per day = 735 pts for the month (this being one topic we've discussed here – I've recently been taking out a parallel trade, dividing it into 3 with TPs at 115, 135 and 160 (this isn't part of the above figures)).

For the period mid April to now I make the average just over 20 pts a day. Attached is a graph of total pts made during this period.

I'd be interested to see what figures GumRai has; also the latest on his £10,000 portfolio starting September.

It works out that during the last 7 full months I'm getting 68% of the published figures.

+562 pips ????!!!!
No way!
I make it +202 pips and I've been following it closely. How has Gary managed to get close to 3 times my figure - I have no idea

I've attached my spreadsheet with my results.

Hello Greenfield,
I've just seen your post, do you have your results on spreadsheet that you can attach. I cannot understand how your results are so different to mine.
I make it that there were 30 trades in November - 11 winners and 19 losers. So 4 more trades than you and 1 less winner.
Are you still using the sniper stoploss as is. When there has been a sniper dot, I've been using it +/- 10 pips.
Also, do your figures take into account the spread?
Ie if a long entry alert is given at 1.6500, do you record it as 1.6503 to include the spread? When an exit arrow appears for a short position, do you add the 3 point spread?

There we have it. The variance is more extreme than I was anticipating. Any number of things can cause the difference we have seen. Ability to take trades, internet connection, etc. But at any rate, +202-+562 is still a winning month. Good job, Greenfield and GR.
Regards,
Kent

Hello GumRai,
When I get time I can list the trades and try to compare them with your's (my spreadsheet isn't as clean as your's, i.e. with lots of other stuff, so I'd rather not post here).

I've got into the habit of using a SL +/- 8 pts.

The figures are the actual trades I've made so obviously the spread isn't an issue.

I assure you that I've taken everything – including the 'non-trades' (where the indicators have repainted with the trade disappearing).

Despite everything, it's interesting to see your spreadsheet shows +21.8% in 3 months.

I'll get back to with my data. I'm certainly intrigued to see what happened.

Bye,

Shall we invite Gary to come and maybe explain how he's making his pips, what are you pros missing out on, if anything??

Hi Everyone,

I am just getting a trial of this software now and found this thread and I admit I haven't actually read it all, but can you please tell me is it worth trying and buying. Seems that the results are dependant on the traders indivdual circumstances, however would love an overview of your thoughts and past few months results. Much appreciated.

:)

Bye,

Luckily, my internet wasn't so bad in November, so I'm sure that my entry and exits are accurate. The only one that I'm not sure about is the last short on 30th November. I have the entry at 1.6481, what was your entry Greenfield?

I guess that I was at the screen more often than you, so I probably saw 4 more trades that repainted. That is the only possible explanation for me having 30, and you 26 trades.
I look forward to comparing our results

In my opinion, yes, it is worth it. The thread is also worth reading thru. There is a lot that has been covered in the last few months.

Well you can see the last 3 months of my results in the spreadsheet attached a few posts back.
In my opinion, sniper is a good stand alone tool as long as you have the time to devote to it.

some I look in hindsight on the chart I also don't undertstand, but this signals come in real time from the server to my mobile.
but this month I don't trade so I don't have some results, but gary is a very lucky man :cheesy:
it's alpari real account and time gmt+6 from the VPS server

cheers

Hello GumRai,
Comparing the 2 sets of results is taking ages, so I might not be able to post anything until the weekend. One thing I noticed – the 5 Nov PM long: I didn't take this as the previous bar was 145. I've noticed a few other things – I'll put 'pen to paper' later on. 'Stockman' is right - what we really want is Gary comparing his results with ours!

Hello fx_eagle – what does that lot come to over the month?

Hello GumRai,

Hello fx_eagle – what does that lot come to over the month?

Hi greenfield, I don't trade that, same I write before.
I'm very busy by some property I prepare for sale and sold already.

so I can only give this alert entrys, you have to check the exit to see what does that come to in total.

I trade now only a breckout trade, one per day, stressfree give in the stop and limit orders and check later win or a loser. :cheesy:

if that will have a good performance may I take some $$ from the property I sold and trade that in the future:cool:

cheers

Hello Eagle - long time no hear :)

I don't know quite what to make of the one at the bottom of your list. I Nov 2006????
I Nov 2009 was a Sunday and the price was not anywhere near 1.6390 at the time.

Had a quick look through.
Can't understand why you weren't alerted to the long early am on 9th Nov, that's still on the chart!
The long entry at 4PM Alpari time on 10th Nov is not on your list but is still on the chart.
That long was stopped by a red arrow without matching histos and then later a new long trade at 9am Alpari on the 11th. I don't know why you didn't receive these alerts.
On 12th Nov I had 3 entries, 2 shorts and a long. I posted charts with the signals-see post #2313. Signals that have since disappeared. The 2 shorts are not on your list.

I'm going to stop here because trying to correlate this is making me dizzy :0

Apart from the signals that have repainted, you've not received all the alerts that have remained on the chart, so I think that there must be a problem with your server. Maybe they are having periods of downtime, so are unreliable. I would be careful if you are using them to actually place trades with an EA.

you right if I trade again , every signal I check before I trade it , the EA make to many mistakes, one time you remember the EA take trades same a machine gun at the demo , I write before. it cost me only 10 cent for every sms, good at this account I have only ~ 6$, this cost me the crazy EA at this time :D and I learn to refill the sms account only by 10 $ every time, haha

cheers

Greenfield,
Are you taking all trades 24/5, or just between 6gmt and 21gmt, as recommended in the manual?
Kent

Hello Kent,
Yes, just between 6.00 and 21.00 GMT, though I usually check up to 23.00 to look at stops and sometimes close out if need be. If a trade comes up during the Asian session I follow the Sniper rule: “An entry in the Asian session becomes a valid trade if at 06:00 GMT or after ALL conditions still agree and price is within the range of 30-50 pips maximum of the original entry arrow price.” Actually, I follow it loosely – I may go with 50+ depending on the circumstances.
