Stereotypes in trading frms

It would help if trading firms started hiring some women for a change. No matter how well a woman does at the tests, seems that unless you are a poker-loving guy with gel on his hair, u wont get a job there. My girlfriend has interviewed at many such places after passing all the tests, including some of the well known european prop houses and got dully rejected on the basis of 'wouldn't fit in'.
Many traders/quants/analysts i know have problems meeting suitable ladies. The lack of them in the workplace is not doing anything to help.

I'm doing e-harmony at the moment. Its pretty good at the personality thing so when you meet someone even if there is no chemistry then at least you get along and have a good laugh and conversation.
It also saves on a lot of time hanging out in all those places suggested in the hope you might meet someone. Unless you have a genuine interest in those things it is all a bit contrived. And then you do have more time for trading!
It is also good for weeding out all the ones that just want half of my house!

When I was 14, young and immature I hoped that one day I would have a girlfriend. I had this vision of a girl with gi-normous tits.
