My Journal - Pathways to Improvement

Thank you Peter for answering my question.

What I am planning, is to have a dashboard which will show all currency strength across the board. Not with Graph, because i already observe graph with LRs, so simply don't want to get confused with lots of lines. Just a simple dashboard to see which pair is strong enough groupwise , calendar is already added on system.

Today I missed the LO due to some work. Started trading from 10:33.
Talking about EU manipulation, I truly agree, EU gets lots of attention of Market markers.

Today I am trading EU unfortunately. Other market is in range.

1st I was buying around 10:33 from 1017, closed with 1 pip loss.
2nd I was buying again from 1017 at 10:46, closed with 4 pips profit. (it moved 10+)
3rd I was selling from 1027 at 11:12 seeing 30+ minute stalling & resistance zone. It failed with 4 pips loss.
4th trade currently on from 11:46 1030, i think it's going to fail soon. :whistling

Good day
Regards

Due to connectivity problem, I was unable to trade on Friday.
Things are fine now.

Just like I said earlier that I get something simple for observing currency strength. I got this strength meter. Also made another customized dashboard to observe everything in one place.

On my strength meter settings, I use 1 min chart with 200 SMA to observe last 2+ hours currency strength. Not sure its enough or not.

I also set the my dashboard group wise (pairs which I trade).

About the strength meter, choosing pairs strongest with the weakest. See the EURCAD.

Latest Development

I was tweaking with LRF formula & for longer 2 LR, I cracked the code & made mt4 to draw longer LR similar to Ctrader. It has now 85% accuracy compared to Ctrader.

MT4:

CTrader:

Lots of hard work in there to figure out the LRF formula. 85% is still not bad.:smart:

Thank you Peter for your time to post here.
I agreed I wasted my 1st 2 months on demo. That's why I recommend yours new students to trade on cent account at least.

Hello Sun
You are doing a great job with F and this thread is a great learning resource.
I'm really enjoying reading it.
At what stage are you now?

What "cent account" means?
Do you mean "micro account" to keep the trading experience real?
Please clarify.

Regards
Merka

cent account is yes sort of micro account, in fact its micro's of micro. ;)
You can trade with 0.01cent per pip.
Even you can trade with 0.001cent per pip....:sneaky:

Why bother using demo..:p
Good day...

Hi R,

It must be hard to stare at your computer's screen for hours when you have such a beautiful scenery around you.
Very nice photos. (y)

Hope your trading is doing as well as usual.
Cheers,
Keen246

Hi K,
Yes you are right, I took these pics today coming back from bringing kids to school and it's really beautiful, especially after tons of rainy days.
What you can't see on the pics is the temperature, actually 6°, it's a bit cold.

The advantage is that the sea is at 100 meters from the house, so I can stop trading whenever I want and have a little walk.

Well, it's time to go back to school and pick up children again... and maybe some pics to do.

Have a nice day.

R.

Thanks for sharing these pictures Remulix,
You are giving some oxygen into this boring thread...;)

You really live in a nice place....That's why you are so relaxed....(y)
If you have snow falls in your area, then don't forget to share it...I live in hot place...:p

Good day...
S.

Hi Sun,
There is no snow here but I can have a look into the "archive" pics we have from our other past places.
Will have a look today.

All the best.
R.

Way to control Impulsive trades. Just take a break & deep breathing..
No craving last forever...only for 20-30 minutes..So that's the time we need to hold...

Happy weekend..

Last day my mom told me that trading is not a respectable... Sort of gambling...This is what I deal with all the time...Need to grow tough skin...!!!

Hi Sun,
Your mother is right. :smart:
Trading is hard work but is not respectable at all.
Because (sorted from "not critical" to "definitely cataclysmic"):
  1. You don't really achieve something that will help your country or someone.
  2. It does not produce goods
  3. it does no build something.
  4. It does not contributes to / or help mankind.
  5. it does not help poor people
  6. it makes rich even richer
  7. Forexmospherian :cheesy:

But who really cares finally ?

Hope I could help you to grow tough skin...

Hi R & Sun,

So, we can say that being a trader is like being a movie star. That makes me feel cheap, LOL.
Seriously, that topic lends itself to a very interesting discussion on the values of society.

Hope you guys are enjoying a restful Sunday.
