Best Thread How To Make Money Trading The Markets.

Eight trades today so far, two of them using this method, the rest using some of my other methods.
FAS and FAZ are good when the Euro raises its misconceived head.
FAS +44c per share

Hi,

I just wanted to say a big THANKS to Mr. Charts for this thread that i have read a few times... and to the active members as well. It is paying off to follow your advice, and be disciplined.

Cut your losses very short, and let your profit run...
like PNG it took today.

Safe trading !

Hey Trader10398 - I just wanted to echo your comments and to also say that following Amit's related thread is helpful to me too (so you may want to check that out if you aren't already).

Cheers
Steve

Thanks Steve, I was not aware and will check Amit's thread

Mr. Charts
i have found your post where you mentioned your favourite stock to trade (vlo, sndk, amgn), it dated 5 years ago. You are trading from 1999, so most of the time did you trade list of stocks you knew very well? But than and now you find stocks by scanning. Could you tell me , may be is it easier to start trading list of stocks for novice?

Thanks T10398 & evostik for your kind words.

I currently always have FAS and FAZ on my watch list and they keep on giving good opportunities. They are highly liquid and often move very readably. One of the trades was using the method on this thread and that produced +88c per share.
Trades today using this method and my others:

FAS +51c per share
VVUS +2c
ARIA +13c
FAS +88c
HIG +16c
HIG -5c
BBY +2c
GMCR -9c
WPI +71c
URI -6c

Today has been choppy, but most of the time you can still find some stocks which are moving. That's the beauty of having thousands of stocks to be able to trade, rather than the choice of just a few instruments like FX or the ES.
Some of my methods don't use trending stocks, but this one obviously does.
Here are two of them from today, the first on 1 min candles.
SLW +49c per share

And the other, LM, which was on 3 min candles, a nice slow gentle trade which produced 48c per share.
Obviously both of these stocks were strong trenders.
My trades today were:
ANF +30c per share
PEP +20c
JCP -6c
SLW +49c
SLW again -5c
HFC +5c
SNDK -6c
LM +48c

My approach is to keep losers small and if something is going against me, get out.
Not rocket science.
Richard

Can't see the point in posting these figures unless live calls are/were made.

Anyone one of us could post something like
ABC +.77
XYZ +.24
MLX- -.06

(always need to throw a negative in every now then then)

This isn't all that hard........
All stocks are alerted by me BEFORE I trade them.
Not here; on a private site which I have run for nearly seven years non-stop.
I have several set ups including the one on this thread.
Everyone there knows my set ups and also my triggers to trade.
I don't simply take a trade if price reaches a fixed level. It's also about how price is ACTUALLY BEHAVING when it gets to a key level.
However, the method on this thread can be used without the triggers and I know many people here do exactly that :)

FAS first trade +52c per share
FAS second trade +40c
PIR +60c

These are the good trends which provide very high probability opportunities.
With US stocks you can usually find them, unlike FX and other instruments imho.

If anyone is interested in this method, read the thread (yes, it takes time and effort ! - what doesn't if it's worthwhile ?) and the charts posted visually enable quick recognition of potential opportunities.

And then test it out for yourself live over one or two hundred trades before trading it for real.
Not rocket science :)
