FTSE SCalp

Hi Martin

Yes I have been trading the DAX and FTSE from the short side today.

I would say that the average number of trades you do is quite high. Remember you pay a cost every time you trade, so this only helps the broker.

I personally would try trading smaller size, looking for bigger 20-30 tick moves. If you try smaller size you can average (both negatively and positively) into trades, this means you can manage stops better and hold positions for longer.

One tip I have for scalping is use a H1 chart for overall direction and levels. Get the RSI and DeM indicators up for more confirmation. Then trade along side it with a 15m or even a 5 min chart. This was you can see the best entry point and try to fade out some of the extreme volatility in the H1 view.

That would be my advice for getting that 60% 40% (which is still good) win rate up and making more overall profits from individual trades.

Cheers

Steve
