That trade reminds me of an advert for one of those "training" companies out there that did a "real" live trade showing how you can make £10k in under a minute punting £1000 pp on EURUSD! Crazy!

A few SB providers seem to be moving away from the IT Finance charts, but at least IG are keeping the Advanced ones. It's another case of change will please some people and not others. I like the ability to add/amend stops/limits, but they do need to add much more in the way of indicators...
Capital Spreads offer CFDs or if you want the pure thing there's also their Capital CFDs brand. They are 1 pip €/$ and don't charge commission by the looks of things, only 5 basis points on FTSE 100 stocks!
Dear charlie the clown (sorry I meant charliechan :)) - you've definitely got a beef with SB companies haven't you! I read simon's post from a few ago and note that for a large amount of the trading day Cap Spreads have narrower spreads on the major FX pairs than the underlying.

Hi Peter, I am still after a response to post #1087 about financing charges for short positions. From what you are saying CMC charges +2% to longs AND shorts, therefore if I have a sell bet on a UK share you will charge financing at 2.5%, so not credit to the account?

So to apply this to an example if I held a sell of £10 per point on XYZ share at 100p and I have £100 in my account to cover the margin, you will apply overnight financing on the remaining £900 (the Bet Borrowing Cost).
