How are you finding the cable DD on Toms EA at the moment :)

I was trading cable only and yes I started the account off with $1000. This was the recommended minimum for risk setting 1 according to Toms EA web site. I reckon you need at least $2000 per pair to be safe even on risk setting 1.

Used risk 1 on cable on a 1:500 micro account. I had a positive experience with it for about four months until January this year.....and then a never ending trend blew it up! My only advice to you is to make sure you regularly withdraw the profits. Call it what you want but at the end of the...

As a matter of interest...what leverage are you using on your broker account running Toms EA?

Tom's EA blew up my $1500 micro account during the recent cable trend. Stay clear...it is nothing but a martingale. You will get steady good results for months...until a continous strong trend. Then you get a massive draw down and the ultimate margin call.

Ouch again! Now you are down to just $63.12 profit. Not looking too good.

I lost the two shorts today as well. However, I won't be increasing my stakes until after the holiday period. Too risky at the moment. Good luck!

:thumbsup: Yep looks like the pros prediction for cable were correct. My trade from the 5th came in from the cold and gave me 40 pips. You have previously said that you will continue trading this system through the Xmas holiday period. Is this still your intention?

Hmmmm that was convenient!! I wish my EA had done the same...now the same trade is currently down $10.33 and not looking too promising.

I've just noticed the 0815 GBPUSD trade that was opened on 12/05/2011 closed at 1.5572. How did this happen as your published settings for the 0815 trade are set for a profit target of 40 pips. The trade closed at 29.2 pips profit. Are you manually closing your trades?

Hi Hammy, I will come along for the ride. I have an old Hotforex account hanging around waiting for a new EA. Can you please confirm your current settings. Are they still: 45-30-18 ? What times do you trade and what currency pairs? Just cable?
