But the only whay of knowing if price is going to break through the pivot level or bounce off is by seeing a pin bar or inside bar etc isn't it? Without those there's no way of telling is there?

Just wondered how people play a head and shoulders pattern like this, what kind of price action do you look for? For example is it a good idea to let it break through the neck line and then wait for price to re test that level again from the other side and enter the trade at that point(maybe...

Does anyone trade 8hr pins? There's one on Usd chf at a pivot level although a similar one failed 3 days ago.

1hr and 2hr pins on eur gbp hitting close to pivot level...the pin tails don't look all that long though compared to the preceding downward move.

Cheers, I searched on there and google and there are a few but they all seem to just flag up pin bars and thats it...it would be good if it only flagged them up when they are intesecting a line drawn on the chart(or within a certain distance of the line). I don't know if thats possible though...

Hi all, It seems that the most common way to trade in this thread is to look for pin bars to form at important pivot levels on the charts and wait for price to reverse. After drawing these pivot lines on the charts it would be great to have an indicator that set off an alarm everytime a pin...

Hey all, Is the theory is that a pin bar becomes legitimate when the next bar breaks the high/low of the pin(depending on direction)? What do you think of the aud cad daily pin, it seems to have bounced off some important resistance?

Thats interesting, there doesn't seem to be any 4hr pin on Metatrader and what looks like a poor one on netdania charts...what broker are you using? Cheers.

cad jpy Looks like a daily pin on Cad/Jpy might be forming and its hitting a resistance trendline that has been tested twice before. Might be worth watching.

On my 4hr charts it looks like a head and shoulders pattern has formed on that Aud/Usd daily pin, maybe best to enter after a bit of retracement upwards now?
