How many people do I have to spread "reputation" around to before I can give it to the same person twice?

You have to give reputation to 4 different people before you can hit the same person again.

I know this might sound silly but these reputation remarks how does one check or look at the remarks made about oneself by others

Look in your own user control panel or when you login to T2W just click on your own user name.

I don't know about you but I find that DB chap a right numpty....

But if he gives me a rep mark then I can give him one back but he has a lot more fire power than I do so it's worth the trade off there... that's trading

Hey, if I could recommend someone's post without having to recommend four other people's posts first, I would. But that's not the case.

I think its a rule to stop members repping each other into the statosphere in a non stop rep fest, I know its a pain when one member may post multiple excellent posts but there you are.

I know the reason. But the result is that one gives "rep" to people who don't necessarily deserve it just so he can give it to somebody who does.

Nothing personal, of course. All the rep I've given you is richly deserved

How much more useful it would be to be able to recommend posts without adding to a score. Then all those posts that deserve recommendations might actually receive them.

Indeed, members may give reps out to all and sundry just to rep a good poster again, I do believe its a minority thing, most use the current system as it is implemented and in the the correct manner of use that was intended by the writers of the bulletin board software. You can always go back to a brilliant post and rep it at a later date after you've spread some love around where deserving, thats what I do, it can take time though.

I am a supporter of the current system, I have to admit.

Given that my "power" is now 70 pts, I don't give it away lightly. Unfortunately, that has to change unless I want to maintain a diary of whom I want to go back to in order to recommend a post, which could be quite some time.

It's idiotic.
