Well spotted coolTrader.

There's definitely skulduggery afoot, there would appear to be either a multinick or few of them loose on the forum posing badly as ordinary members, all with the same ip, one of them was indeed kind enough to give the game away for the others by registering with a tradefair email.

A clue, so his colleague can give him a good kicking at lunchtime for being thick, country code location = South Africa ..doh!

With a keen eye like yours coolTrader how do you fancy joining the crew, they give you a nice blue badge and lots of toys to play with :D

Tradefair Advertising?

In light of above perhaps it might be a good idea to stop promoting Tradefair via a banner on this site? Sort of sends out a conflicting message...........

That's not my area, banner adverts are admins responsibility and I won't comment on the rights and wrongs of your point. I am tasked with the boards only and weeding out the deceivers who pose as newbs while promoting their company and peddle their site with every post, most definitely against the site guidelines, which I am tasked to uphold, which is what I've done.

Sorry no offense intended. I saw you were a T2W moderator and assumed you would have admin rights.....

No offence taken :D

Mods can edit posts, move posts, delete posts, rename threads, ban members, spank members :) ...The whole show is looked after by admin, as you can see they are extremely busy people keeping the forum running as it does.

Well unless its an old mate of sharkys then you'll turn a blind eye and allow the deception to continue. Hypocrite

But there is no deception, grey1 is not posting, has no links for anyone to follow, his links were deleted, he and his side kick were curtailed quickly, and the tt forum is exactly as it was before the whole sorry episode blew up, apart from the disgruntled members thread in there of course.

Now if he was caught skulking around with multiple nicks or several people were found posting ads links on his behalf he/they would be banned. If he continued posting about his commercial services and ignored a call for a vendor badge we can ban.

If the mods allowed grey1 to carry on posting about his commercial services while kicking off tradefair, then yes it would be hypocritical but clearly that is not the case. I really am at a loss to explain further, sorry :)

There are some vendor(s) who are posting their analysis and reference to their blogsite and yet nobody points them. It looks educational but if you want to make pips as they do you have to join their paid for club. It is one of the most viewed threads. Is it in accordance with t2w policy?

ok, thanks for mentioning leovirgo (y)

but has anyone reported it by way of the red flag? we shall see when the thread is found

I was under the impression that vendors where quite welcome, as long as they where registered as a vendors.

The problems arise when you have vendors such as Grey1 and JayJay who claim not to be vendors (despite promoting a website and spamming by PM). The problem is made worse becuase these individuals are supported by the sites admin and mods despite clear evidence that they are vendors simply becasue they are personal friends of the sites owner. Surely this deception is far worse than a vendor openly declaring a commercial interest ?

Similarly, you have members such as TRO who is forced to display a vendor tag, despite claiming NOT to be a vendor.

Surely the way to police this is for the site to publish clear guidelines regarding vendors rather than relying on members to point out possible problems.

like looking for a needle in the haystack that.

help an old mod out with a clue as to it's whereabouts :D

Ok, its in journal section- the key word is pips and the evidence is reference to club. Actually they sound nice and friendly. I am saying it just because I want to see fairness and consistency in your dealing with vendors.

sure. actually I would like to see vendors placing ads here and there... generating more revenues for the site. why not? we are now getting used to full page ads for SBs anyway. cheers

thread found, it was a signature violation - now removed

as they have a pay for site they will be asked to display a vendor badge and asked not to post further links to it in their posts.

thanks :)
