Until we create a more sophisiticated warning/banning system, any information regarding the banning of members shall be posted on this thread in future. I shall keep the thread open, but bearing in mind this is a noticeboard, and not a 'let's discuss the merits of each case' - it may be necessarily to lock the thread to new posts from members, or else keep on top of pruning any superflous comments.

Member Banned: Badtrader
Reason: Re-registering under a new nick, having previously been banned.
Previous Nick: CJ12
 
Member Banned: WCM
Reason: Believed to have re-registered under a new nick, first nick is now banned.
Previous Nick: Stockjunkie
 
Member Banned: Spreadbetteur
Reason: For using multiple nicks in order to add support to his views on the Capital Spreads thread.
Other nicks: microsoft, DirectAccess (these accounts are now combined).
 
Banned Member Re-instated: TheBramble (conditions of reinstatement)

TheBramble was banned for grossly abusive remarks made towards Rossored following a suspension that he felt was unfair. TheBramble has since apologised to Rossored for those remarks and acknowledged that those remarks warranted his ban. Rossored has accepted his apology and permitted TheBramble to return to the site.

Please Note: All members who have previously been banned, and are then reinstated, will initially be on a parole period meaning that any further infringements of the site guidelines may result in an immediate and permanent ban without warning.
 
Further to the previous post - we have now deleted ALL advertising messages sent by TradingMasters, so if you have received a notification to say you've got a new message from him - you won't now be able to view it.
 
Member Banned: Rudeboy
Reason: Constant unwarranted aggression towards other members despite his protests of innocence and not meaning to be rude.

Rudeboy has had at least three warnings of an impending ban.

The ban period is 7 days, starting from 3.00pm today, Saturday 21st January. I have also informed Rudeboy that re-registering with another nick in this time period will result in the ban being lengthened by an unspecified period.

Reason: Continuing to make unwarranted, pointless posts about the removal of a thread (one instance of which is still in place anyway because it is useful.

Two warnings, and then a one-day ban as I think a 7-day ban is unwarranted in this case.

Ban will be lifted automatically at 9.00am tomorrow.
 
Member banned: RUDEBOY
Reason: persisting with pointless and insulting posts despite warnings
Duration: one month, and this is the final short-term ban. The next ban will be permanent.

update: RUDEBOY returned and didn't take long to continue in the same vein so he is now banned permanently

Reason: spamming the site with identical posts, trying to sell a system by PM, reregistering while banned
Duration: permanent

Reason: Previously banned as cj12, badtrader, sun123. Reregistered under new alias.

Reason: Previously banned as bulldozer. Refusal to be civil and stop posting the same old stuff again and again. Propensity to wreck useful threads.

Reason: horse racing system spamming via e-mail and private messages

Reason: Previously banned as RUDEBOY

Reason: Swearing, posting abuse and personal details of another member. Suspected to be a previously banned member.
Duration: Permanent Ban
