Just curious. I know this has been done before but hey... and don't be shy now, its anonymous :cheesy:

Does it matter? Some may trade full time, "not many though on here" most on here will trade and hold down a job.

Most talk a good game only trading 1 to 3 quid a point. Bottom line is. You Poll will not show the truth. This is Human nature, to always try to beat the Jones next door the same with words on trade2win.

whats wrong with trading "only" trading 1 to 3 quid a point?
your level of risk should be a function of your total capital, for example, risking only 2% or 3% of your total available capital.

somebody making £100 from £2 a pip by risking in total £20 is
better than
somebody making £1000 from £10 a pip risking in total £500.

do not disregard somebody for their initial starting position.

(some of us started out that way before we got to the stage we could seriously consdier full-timing it)

full-timing (and paying my mortgage) since May 2007. :clap:

Well of course it matters, as a Mr Jones, I want to know what the people next door are up to....! Don't want to be living in a street full of jehovas witnesses or telemarketers!

The poll is anonymous and the question is clear cut. No one can benefit from pretending they are full time successes as there are no names. I'm not interested if they trade 1 lot or 100 either, just how many do it on the side 'vs' full time.

I've always declared I work and trade. Also that my trade sizes are small. I sometimes double up if I'm sure and all my indicators line up. And I have broken my rules and traded 4 times my normal position size but my ticker couldn't handle the moves.

My dream is to be able to make enough money to meet mortgage and living expenses - like Trendie (good on yer matey). After four years, the penny has finally fallen since last August.

Also, I seem to make more pips when I enter a trade and walk away then watching the screens through out the day. Essentially, trade less and as calls are correct let the profits run. Having to work has provided the psychological discipline I could not trading full time. I am a little better now but still room for improvement.

Next time I'm out of contract will try trading full time again. Last time earnings were erratic from one month to the next and I can't afford uncertainty with a family.

On a final note I really can't understand people who tell porkies on blogg sites to people they do not know and have no consequence none what so ever. What is the point?
