A logical argument that can be tested yourself may also be taken as evidence depending on circumstance and subsequent experience.

BTW, In 2008, there was a series of lynchings in Congo against "witches" who were believed to be stealing and shrinking men's penises.

Loads of posts doesn't reflect knowledge or ability. My own haul of 5,400+ posts is a testament to my utter inability to trade successfully. :cheesy:

What do you mean by "content"? Vague, cliched regurgiations, or specific insights?
If there is too much content, maybe they are trying to prove something.
Too little, and only lulzy stuff, maybe they cant trade at all, or can trade, but cant be bothered to share.

Its just a place to hang out with relatively like-minded folk.

overtime you can tell if they have experience and knowledge of the fundamental principles and rules of trading and whether they are a true knowledgeable historian of this art from reading all the good trading books , quoting famous traders and a firm knowledge of Ecomomics and other business principles

but does that make you a successful trader in truth ?......only their P&L's can prove that and we all know that will never happen ;)

I know what you mean, but in this forum I have a feeling by the content of their posts that at least three people are great traders (I say great not good) and I have not seen their P/L.

Could it be just a feeling? Maybe....
 
No, but you can usually tell whether they've been through particular stages in learning to trade; people who can talk the talk have at least lost with a lot of methods and thus know about them.

IMO

No-one will give P&L on here - it's a bit like telling people what you earn. I live in a place where the minimum wage is $10 a day - that's less than $5k a year. There's any number of reasons people won't go on line about what they earn.

So - P&L on a forum is unlikely. So, I think you end up with the following:

"You can't tell 100% who is making money but in many cases, you sure can tell who isn't"

This is exactly what I was thinking. One poster in particular was simultaneously hilarious and painful in his attempts to sound like he had a clue.

Of course, I can't be sure. Kinell bud mate, imho perhaps he was grabbing pips off the smalls, 2 hr TF circa 30 pip stop, maybe he could trade anything tbh in our industry, and perhaps he did understand the zeitgeist, right from when he was a fledgling trader all the way to being an intermediate and expert trader. He probably had a lot of profitable systems, I mean they all work.

If you don't believe me that he was a consistently profitable trader, flying under the radar before going for a bike ride, then a swim, then a meeting with some top female decision makers at an SB firm, well you're just a subterranean damaged multinic fooktard rampton c11nt troll. You want sorting son, I'll biff you mate bud etc etc.

You need to get your nut in the game son, you need to be match hardened bud mate, that's why I can trade anything me, although I just swing now, cba with the smalls. It's not fookin rocket science is it, iirc bud mate. Kinell!

Pazienza and Dashriprock were post-Arabian lulz merchants who posted on here before you came. Not only did they provide quality lulz, they looked like pretty competent traders as well.

Neither were total w@nkers. Pazienza drops in from time to time as a multi-nic. Apparently. Rumour has it that Pazienza is Mr Charts.
