Okay lets make this the official 2011 trading results poll. Apart from this please post your thoughts on how your year went when it comes to your account.

1. Were you happy with your trading performance?

2. How was this year compared to 2010?

3. Do you consider yourself a better trader than 12 months ago?

and any other useful information you might want to share.

I learnt a lot this year and also gained. Did much much better than 2010 for sure. There were hiccups along the way but I have learnt that the biggest hurdle for traders is getting into the type of trading that matches their personality. Initially I thought I could be a day trader but it seems I am not even though the strategy I use can work on intra day charts also, I am not the person that can concentrate for hours without a break.

Getting to unlearn a lot of things took more effort for me. Controlling greed when you are on a winning roll. Patience of not trying to get rich over night and many others.

Anyways would be good to hear from veteran traders who have been trading for a while and still post on t2w for fun times.

Saf.

Because of a huge winning trade in december 2010 last year had more profit

3. Do you consider yourself a better trader than 12 months ago?

I'm much better than 12 months ago, as said i just need to shake off my rule breaks

I voted yes...not because of money but I can now take my losses with ease and absolutely no regret. :smart:

1. Yeah. I blew my live account, but I learned so much on demo I can't be anything but happy. Worth the cost, imo.

2. Light years ahead. I wasn't going anywhere last year, but now I might have something to show.

3. I could not even be considered a sucker last year. Now I think I'm at least liable not to fall for the obvious mistakes.
