EUR/CHF Spike this morning?

Nah, it was a funny story about S&P withdrawing their AAA rating from the SNB (the Swiss CB). Someone thought that it meant smth, which is kinda funny, if you think about it. In reality, it's just a result of the SNB having no bonds outstanding, which means there's no point in having a rating.

A central bank doesn't normally issue bonds, so there's nothing strange in the SNB having no outstanding debt.

You can buy a share in the SNB if you like, and due to regulations on dividend said share basically acts like a perpetual bond... except you can go the SNB annual meeting with it. Only cost you about a grand as well.

What interventions? We haven't had one of those for a while now. Not sure the SNB has any bullets left here.

A chart's still a chart. Come good trades around the interventions.

There are no good trades around interventions as far as newbies are concerned. I was merely suggesting that the O P, being a newbie, should not even consider trading the swiss in times like this.

Rabbit / Headlights, and all that jazz. The whole move over in less than 2 mins.

Go long at 1.2965. Watch for momentum. If it is good, then you'll make a grip of pips. If momentum is not good, take profits at that point, then wait for next move DOWN, and get in again. The eventual move UP is giong to be huge.
