Islam is the fastest growing religion of world. In 1971 in the UsA there were only 100,000 muslims, now it is estimated at 5 million.

People say bad things about Islam, if it was that bad then why is Islam the fastest growing religion of the world?

It would be nice to have a debate
 
Are you prepared to be open to abuse? Most people on these types of forums (non-religious ones, not trading forums per se) are atheists. I've seen things like, "Otherwise intelligent people believe in an imaginary friend", "I consider anyone who believes in a god to have a mental illness" and "When you're dead, you're dead."

Personally I am not religious myself.

But I trully want to hear opinions of what people think.
 
Oh, ok.

Well, looking at your statistics, can you break that down by immigration, births and social status? It could well define Islam as the fastest breeding religion if it is purely down to the 100,000 having lots of babies. Or perhaps 4,900,000 have moved to the US since 1971. I say "social status", because lower classes tend to have more children; the higher the education and professional status, the later the married couple have children. So we need the reason for the data you've provided.

As for whether any religion is bad or not, I think it is some individuals that give the rest a bad name. <--- that's the opinion bit in this reply. :D
 
Personally, I am open to all philosophies. I have books covering Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and Christianity.

Do you think it is true or just Christian propaganda?
 
The British Government thinks positively on Islam, and they say that Muslims and Islam makes great contribution to Britain

AS the only AMERICAN to reply so far I can say it dosnt matter how much you claim islam has grown..... the truth is that the BIBLE has been the number one best selling book for 2000 years and always will be because islam is DEAD.
 
Whether most modern people believe in an afterlife, or not, belonging to the muslim faith brings them into a form of discipline that other religions do not .

Most, if not all, of the western democracies are decadent. Christian churches are almost empty and few of those who profess to be atheists are, truly, atheists, especially as they get older, when they realise that they are going to be dead a long time.

Personally, I do not know why anyone would want to join any organised religion if they are at peace with themselves. All religions are the same in that they endeavour to dominate those who need to be convinced that they are going to a better place.

Nevertheless, I can see the need for something, because today's society is in a mess.
 
the death of islam

islam is dead not because of whether it is growing or not, but because it is a dead religion.

Not sure about the domination bit. We are free to choose what we do irrespective of which religion we may belong to.

I entirely agree with your final statement, though. I see materialism, greed and selfishness whenever I meet other human beings.

What I said was that the church endeavours to dominate us. Obviously, it is not successful with most of today's public. This disatisfaction with the existing religions is driving it to look for something else. I believe that that is the reason for the expanding membership of Islam in the West.
 
expanding membership in the west is a "dilusion" wishful thinking at best.if you think religion dominates you then you have not found the Living God. there is one that is alive, the others are dead.

the main thing that grinds my gears is muslims come to the UK which is a Cristian country and dont give to ****s about our way of life and practice there own religion. Now could you imagine going to an extremly islamic country..oo lets say Taliban controlled Afghanistan and wondering round in the same manner that muslims do here? total double standards, we are meant to accept their way of life here but we would probably get our heads chopped off in their home land. ******s

"The church"? Presumably only Roman Catholics, then.

TBH I don't want to get into a debate that holds little interest for me.
 
The more you oppose Islam, the stronger it gets. You give power and energy to it. Yes agree that Islam is fastest growing religion, and that is because of the high birth rate. But if you look at affluent muslims often they have 1 or 2 kids. It is the poor and less well off who have many kids.

Quran in a "true" sense is trully a peaceful religion. It does not ask one to KILL Kafirs, and the word JIHAD has been miinterpreted by the West and gave power to it during the Afghan and Taliba time.

Th ebest way would be, is to take away benefits to families with more then 2 kids, and give incentives to families with 1 or 2 kids.

The stupid givernment encourages people to breed and produce kids
 
Maybe religion is contracted through the air, as Islam is currently the post popular religion for blowing yourself up, there are more Islam particles floating through the air getting into people.

To conclude, if you want your religion to win, blow yourself up. Preferably in a pretty way so that people will have their mouths open in awe, waiting for your religious goodness to enter.

Well the same thing can be said about Christainity. All the missionaries going to third world countries and offering bribes to the poor to convert them. That is what they have tried to do in Afghanistan!
