Police corruption ?

I think the adrenalin and shock of being pushed liked that would of likely made the blokes heart thump about as the realisation and stress of what happened to him was taking hold. I can see this reaching a "man slaughter" charge against the Police down the road.

This whole situation is pathetic. What are the Police supposed to do when rioting starts ? Also I see that many of those arrested over the attack on RBS were foreigners who wont have had any financial connection with the bank at all. I could understand it if they were RBS shareholders or employees of the bank but why are foreigners doing this and for what reason ?

We don't know if this guy innocently got caught up or if he was a protester. Either way it doesn't matter, what matters is whether the individual policeman was fired up and over-reacted with unnecessary force or if the guy was obstructing the police and refusing to move out of the way, in which case there was some justification for the police action.
If such a demo had happened in most other countries the casualties would have been far higher.
Imagine the the results of the CRS clearing crowds who were determined to stop law abiding people going about their business.

Dunno. I’d be the first to slam the police for exceeding their powers, but you can’t be sure what was going on.

It was more than a mild coincidence someone happened to be filming what would under any other circumstances (no fatality occurring) been quite a pointless bit of footage. The chap’s demeanour was one of apparently calculated insouciance and what seemed to be an unwillingness to do as directed.

While the cops obviously didn’t need to shove him, you have to wonder if there weren’t some verbals going on. Again, no excuse, but you can see how it might happen.

It’s quite possible he was an agent provocateur, and if so, he certainly earned his crust that day, but even if that was the case, there was no immediately apparent justification for the police action. The correct terms of engagement are quite clearly laid down in police procedures manual. Shoot the b!ugger, then retrospectively piece together a story that absolves them of any blame, while highlighting the need for greater vigilance from the population as a whole in supporting the police in their on-going fight against terror, drugs, human trafficking etc.

After Menezes, that's what bothers me. I believe that official initial police reaction was a denial of involvement - plainly untrue; but just as likely cockup as conspiracy?

If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever :)

The policeman wouldnt have done that if he didnt have his face covered over to give him anonymity thats for sure. This is what made this pig brave. Thinking no one knew who he was. Pigs have a difficult job to do but the attitude of many pigs leads me to hold the opinion that they dont do themselves any favours.

As far back as I can remember, and that is the early 1960's, the police have been absolute basta*rds.

They are ill-educated, low grade individuals who are too dim to get a proper job in the private sector.

Over the years they have proved time and time again that when they cannot solve a crime, they resort to pinning the blame on a weak individual or weak persons and frame the poor sods.

Wasn't that what Sherlock and Poirot were always fighting against?

One of my old school friends is now a middle ranking detective. I wouldnt give the snivelling little wretch the time of day now.

Pigs like all animals just need to be handled correctly.

Pigs are usually in the right, and pigs like to be commended for this. If a pig stops you for speeding on a quiet country road at 2am, acknowledge your mistake, apologise, thank them for stopping you and making you aware of just how dangerous your actions could be, and they may well just let you off with a verbal warming. Get uptight, smart or aggressive and you'll likely get a ticket there and then.

If a pig stops you around christmas for a breath test. Readily co-operate, before it finds a reason to fine you for driving an unroadworthy vehicle.

Sows are a different matter altogether. Just shutup, let them do the talking, and if you need to say anything at the end, do so. Otherwise just follow her instructions.
