WTI/Brent spreads!!

Does anybody trade either of the above or perhaps both?

hi pelzar,

i trade the brent spreads on ice, had a look at wti but on ice it hardly trades much volume and on nymex the exchange fees ae ridiculously expensive. Do u trade either?

Do u trade them off levels or just jobbing for a tick here and there?

im not in them for a tick!!
how do you trade them ? mostly brent but WTI is on my mind too.

Lol yeh, would be very inefficient way to trade them. I trade off levels and also try and get a feel for the range and order flow going through. The fronts been held up recently, esp around 39 and noticed a support around 37 this morn, that's the kind of thing i look for. I've really just been trading them alongside STIRs but am going to make it more of my main focus going forwards, just wanted to see how others traded them....

How do u approach them?

different strategies, some work most the times, some only within certain periods.
you can use different technical tools on them. you definitely need to get a feel of the market.

the front seems to be holding up. its printing higher lows.
