Ok, it won't guarantee success but it is a good start; when things go wrong, if you're just in it for the money, you will give up more quickly.
That point is also BS, sorry yet again. Why don't you say that to all those fat cat investment bankers riding on their bonuses? I just watched dispatches on channel 4 a few hours ago and it was horribly unpleasant viewing.
I am totally certain that there were a lot of people who knew what was going to happen but the bonuses they got and the "everyone is having a party" mentality got in the way, because at the time everyone literally was having a party if they were the ones dishing out the money. I am also certain that there were savvy people who played the whole thing to their own ends and left when the collapse came, and they expected it.
I would hazard a guess that nearly everyone here got into this game because of the need to make money. And unlike other bulletin boards where advice from individuals at the top of their profession is freely given away without making the readers "work for it", here it is it the total opposite.
