Please could someone advise me on the reason why its hard to find spread betting firms and traditional brokers that will trade the ftse350 & sub sectors "electricity, utillities , tobacco etc" .thankyou for your time

1. there has to be a sufficient number of people wishing to trade the above.

2. There must be the potential for profit for the bookmaker in the above.

Thanks Neil , I guess your right , although i can see the potential for profit , it still needs a whole load of " bigger boys" to make it important .

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, have you tried IG? I regularly trade sectors and haven't had any problem doing so. Just go into the dealer screen and select 'Indices' from the drop down.
