VIX Index or some thing like it for european equities??

I would greatly appreciate it. If someone could inform me if there is a simialr volatilty index either for the FTSE 100 or the DAX like the VIX or VXO. I have scoured the liffe website and there is nothing posted there about something like this. Thanks for the help.

There's a VIX for the DAX. I get it from here :-

Cheers, Thanks for the help. I checked it out and there is a VDAX ticker for both April and May and all the way out to september. Would you happen to know which one is more relevant index ? Is it the one 30 days out, or the current month? Thanks again.

I think it would depend on which time frame you're trading in as I suspect that this is a simple VIX of the asociated index future rather than based on a basket of stocks which is the basis for the S&P VIX and VXO in the US.
