I am joining the T2W community today. Have been reading through the forums.

There are some trading groups in Vancouver. The Forex Meetup group mentioned is very active, with good meetings. The other Meetup groups that I know are the Vancouver Region Trading (http://www.meetup.com/The-Vancouver-Day-Traders-Meetup-Group/), Vancouver Professional Traders (http://www.meetup.com/Professional-Traders/) that are organized by me and that have been hosting the Vancouver Chapter of the Canadian Society of Technical Analysis meetings. There is also the VanTraders Social (http://www.meetup.com/VanTraders/), geared towards light chat and social meetings.

I would like to meet with you, if by any chance you are still visiting this thread. You can either join the Meetup groups or send me a note using the normal T2W channel.

Nice to see there are people trading near by.
I’m on the Vancouver Island and I’m getting back into Commodities and possibly forex.
I use to have a broker in Chicago years ago (1997) since trading in BC seemed rare, but now I’m wondering if I should use a Canadian Trading platform- if there are any good ones : / I’ve been thinking about http:/ /www.interactivebrokers.ca/en/main.php
Trying to consider everything - Fill times, expertise, quality in customer support, maybe even taxes. Any tips, input, or recommendations would be appreciated.
