I have recently asked esignal this and was told you could only use esignal data.

I faced exactly the same decision when I traded U.S. equities last year. I went with the ES / IB combo' and it worked fine, but one has to stomach the costs. I've since switched to TradeStation, as their charting package and trading platform is free if you use their brokerage services as well. It also gets around the problem of the broker blaming the data provider (and vice versa) if there are any problems. Doubtless there will be downsides, but I don't know about those yet as I've not been with them very long. But I like the fact that I have everything I need and my only costs are exchange fees and commissions: US$2.40 R/T per contract (YM e-mini Dow).
