What are you comparing them to? What city do you live in @Oscar Reed? Don't you have a house in San Jose?

Newport Beach had 2 homicides. San Jose had 32. It certainly makes sense to me that Newport has a lot of grand theft auto because people want to steal their nice cars. You are not going to go to the ghetto to steal a Ferrari.

San Jose crime rate surpasses U.S. average, arrests plummet

Sydney is the wealthiest place in Australia with a crime rate that dwarfs crime here. If this is what crime is like in wealthy areas, I would not know want to know what it is like in the not-so-nice areas.

Easy to buy a nice car when the fraud rate is so high in Newport.
Bet it's still the one of the top place's for plastic surgery.

Where is your source for the fraud rate?

I prefer people getting plastic surgery to people being raped and assaulted. There were approximately 10,962 sexual offenses in Sydney. With that many victims, it is enough to populate a small city.

Your post about Betoota is very funny. It is easy to have crime without any permanent residents.

Whereabout in Australia are you?

Its not all bad then! For the europeans that is :cheesy:

It is win-win. The Europeans can keep their relaxed security, and their euros. With the current practices there, the EUR/USD is likely to keep sinking. The EUR/USD had a low 1.0566 on the 25th.

Plunge, baby, plunge.

I particularly like the bit where a US woman snatches a box from a childs hand and proceeds to wrestle with the childs mother for a second box.

I find it astonishing that a pro-life campaigners can conjur this kind of incident as justification for their ends raiding an abortion clinic.

Three people killed were once babies and now their lives have been prematurely ended leaving behind loved ones.

How bloody remarkably stupid is that? Pro-Life defies logic.

As for religion and other people dictating how people should live their private and personal lives is none of their business. They should sod off.

Do you have a picture of Richard Dawkins on your wall?

Raging Atheist
The type of atheist who is offended by religious fundamentalists, whilst simultaneously displaying the exact traits he or she claims to find offensive in them (generally included, but not limited to, arrogance, bigotry, myopia, and a tendency towards circular logic, sanctimony, and melodrama.)

Radical atheists blame war, sexism, cancer, tornadoes, and George Lucas on religion, and, while vocally mocking personages held sacred by others, will attack blindly if Richard Dawkins is treated with anything other than blind and reverential worship. You can, indeed, not talk about 'The Dawk' without inciting a flame war, or as radical atheists call them "Crusades."

A common misconception is that all Raging Atheists tend to be high school/early college students who've just heard about Richard Dawkins for the first time. While this is a common specimen, just as many are middle-aged hipsters who, having been raised in a strictly religious household, began rebelling and ended up as the mirror (and equally annoying) image of their fundamentalist parents.

I am happy for people to believe whatever they like. Where I draw a line is the persecution of others. Charlie Manson is a good example of an evil person ( murdering others ) and should have been hung.

The irony is in @Atilla's "liking" of your post when just one post ago, his post defied logic as well and persecuted others. Being pro-life and attacking an abortion clinic are not mutually inclusive.

The only thing daft here is your misuse of logic. Not all pro-lifers are attacking abortion clinics. Fallacies abound here. Analogously, guns don't kill people, people use guns to kill people. Throwing the baby out with the bathwater I see.

@Atilla's argument would have been fine if it was just about how evil it is to do what that did, but @Atilla decided to do exactly what I pointed out in my previous post.
