I have an opportunity for a graduate position with a small US equity research firm (only about 40/50 employees) in an equity sales role based in London. They sponsor the CFA qualification and it sounds like there are good opportunities to make a lot of money.
I just wanted to know if it's a hindrance further down the line if say I wanted to move to an IB and only had such a small firm on my CV? For instance, I hear moving from a prop house to an IB is nigh on impossible
Can anybody give me any insight as to what it's like working for smaller firms and what the opportunities are like?
