Police investigated Reform UK councillor who said she was 'born and bred' in Britain during interview about migrant hotel protests​

A Reform UK councillor reported to police for saying she was 'born and bred here' has had her case dropped after officers found 'no evidence of criminality'.

Claire Mackie-Brown was reported to Police Scotland over alleged 'hate crimes' after appearing on STV last week.

During the interview, the councillor from Falkirk said: 'There is a true unrest and it is scary. It's scary as a local resident, somebody who was born and bred here.'

Ms Mackie-Brown said she 'represents the people of Falkirk, solely and completely.'

Following the remarks, Ms Mackie-Brown told the interviewer: 'I shouldn't have said that. That just came out, it came out.'

Over the weekend, Ms Mackie-Brown said she was informed she had been reported both to Police Scotland and the Ethical Standards Commissioner for Scotland.

In a post on social media, the councillor wrote: 'Today I received a malicious complaint from an anonymous person sent to multiple organisations including the police demanding I am investigated for hate crimes due to me stating in the recent media interview I am a born and bred Falkirk lassie.

'Also that I am removed from my role as councillor for breaching the code of conduct for simply doing my job I was elected to do – speaking up for my constituents and the people across Falkirk who have contacted me.'

But police dropped the investigation, with a spokesman telling the Daily Mail: 'We received a complaint, enquiries were carried out and no criminality has been established.'

  • He then followed a third woman who had witnessed the attempted kidnap - before onlookers stopped him again.
  • Adam eventually ran off after witnesses pursued him while filming him.
  • The schoolgirl's mother reported the incident the same evening and Adam was arrested and charged with attempted kidnap.

Chef at asylum seeker hotel breaks down in tears as she tells jury how ILLEGAL migrant stared at staff 'planning something' before 'murdering' her colleague with a screwdriver​

The hotel chef, Ms Brittle, earlier told the court about an incident the night before the attack, when Ms Whyte had been reduced to tears after being verbally abused by another asylum seeker living at the hotel.

The other migrant, who was not named in court, was said to have called Ms Whyte a 'f***ing b****' after she had served him biscuits he did not like.

Ms Heeley said: 'He left her bleeding to death and then casually went back to his hotel.'

After Ms Whyte was attacked, Majek allegedly stopped on his way back to the hotel to buy alcohol and was later seen 'seen dancing and laughing, clearly excited about what he had done', the prosecutor said.

An Afghan TikTokker who threatened to murder Nigel Farage was on the run from police in Sweden over a litany of crimes when he arrived in the UK on a small boat, the Daily Mail can reveal.

Fayaz Husseini, who has an AK-47 tattooed on his face, made a gun gesture with his fingers on camera and boasted he was coming to England to 'pop, pop, pop' the Reform leader - which saw him jailed for five years this week.

Husseini, 31, was a career criminal who had been in prison multiple times in Sweden when he arrived in Britain on a rigid inflatable dinghy last year.

His terrifying record ranges from sexual abuse of a child to animal cruelty, repeated drugs offences, knife crimes, threatening behaviour, theft and fraud.

Husseini claimed asylum in the UK on the basis that his life was in danger from the Taliban in Afghanistan - when in reality he was fleeing justice in Sweden, where he was wanted for two more offences of carrying a knife and sexually harassing a schoolgirl.

The Met Police is reviewing 9,000 cases in a massive new grooming gangs probe amid criticism of Sadiq Khan's claims that none operated in the capital.

The Mayor of London has repeatedly denied that his city was blighted by the kinds of child abuse seen in towns such as Rochdale and Rotherham.

However, this week reports emerged from Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) of young girls being raped.

And on Friday, the Met Police revealed it has thousands of cases to reassess spanning the past 15 years.

Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley has now told Mr Khan in a letter how he was 'responding to questions about child sexual exploitation'.

It marks a U-turn from Sir Mark's previous comments suggested he had not seen indications of Rochdale-or Rotherham-style grooming gangs in the capital.

Yet he has more recently suggested to the London Assembly that there was a 'very significant' number of multi-offender cases that would need probing again.

Now London's top cop has stated that 'any sexual offending against children is abhorrent but group-based offending, including that characterised as "Grooming Gangs", is particularly insidious'.

In a statement read out by Epping Forest councillor Shane Yerrell, the father said Kebatu's release caused his daughter 'so much stress and anxiety' and that it was 'unbelievably irresponsible'.

He said: 'Myself and my family feel massively let down and infuriated by HMP Chelmsford, the police, the justice system and our Labour government. They have all failed. Not just us as a family, but they have failed everyone in the country.'

The father said he only found out what had happened after being contacted by a reporter and was 'sent images and videos of [Kebatu] walking around throughout the day before the police even alerted her mother'.

The father then went to HMP Chelmsford to find out what was going on, but says he was 'greeted with hostility and complete disregard for anything I said or asked' at the prison.
