tradestation self clearing

i have been notified that tradestation are no longer using bear stearns. a poster on a different site who has used t/s for years has said he will be switching from t/s when this happens. could someone more knowledgable than myself possibly shed some light on what impact/consequences (if any) this may have.

it means TradeStation can use whoever they like for sourcing stocks, Bear Stearns have had many problems with their lists of HB stocks, as well as a conflict of interest cos they obviously trade for their own and their clients accounts.

TradeStation do neither, so going self clearing should mean better inventory of short sale stocks - which is better for us.

Whoever thinks this is a bad thing is obviously poorly informed
